The Brief

Northern Nats is a relative newcomer in the world of competitive Burnout events, only having been around previously for two years. To ensure viability, the customer needed a merchandising range which covered the tastes of a wide variety of patrons with the aim of being left with minimal residual stock. Previous years’ sales had shown a 100% increase from year 1 (250 units) to year 2 (500 units) on one particular product line – the all over sublimation tee. For this reason, the client requested to increase the order volume again but were conscious of their budget and didn’t want to overcommit to stock for fear of rained out event, leaving them in financial limbo.

Our Solution

To ensure continued popularity of the merchandise, Northern Nats have always given Lifestyle free reign to design their merchandise and prefer to allow our art team to come up with a design which is based on elements currently trending with retail print clients. Our experience in retail fashion printing is something that allows us to sit a head above many of our competitors.

By utilizing a product which allowed for quick turnaround on repeat orders, the customer was able to order on the conservative side of what they thought they could sell (66% increase on previous year rather than 100% again), but also take orders on the day for additional stock to be produced and shipped after the event should they run out.

The Result

The result was an overjoyed client and masses of incredibly happy spectators. The garment design for the event proved so popular, it sold out the morning of the second day. Sufficient orders were taken on the remaining day and a half to permit a subsequent order to be produced and distributed to event patrons, who were more than happy to wait for their merchandise to be shipped.
